We started the day in Kingman, Arizona, intending to make it all the way to Amarillo, but part way through the day we realized that plan was too ambitious. We made it to Tucumcari, New Mexico instead. Our driving day was 9:00 a.m. to midnight, the longest driving day of the trip.

Snow in Tucumcari

We pushed on and crossed Arizona and most of New Mexico yesterday. We’re in Tucumcari, NM in a newly built Holiday Inn Express. Very nice. We’re about an hour and a half from Amarillo, where snow or no snow, I’ll rephotograph the Cadillac Ranch and we’ll close out the trip and go home. Once we get home, I’ll update the blog.

Time’s at a bit of a premium this morning, though, so I’ll let the images sit on the notebook computer until we get back to Denton.
